Moving in Ponte Vedra: what to know
Ponte Vedra Beach sits on the coast in northern St. Johns County, between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. It’s known for golf, including TPC Sawgrass, home of THE PLAYERS Championship each March, and for gated, HOA-run neighborhoods with strict rules for contractors and moving trucks.
Most of our Ponte Vedra jobs are moves between Ponte Vedra and Palm Coast or St. Augustine: families relocating down the coast, retirees downsizing, and staging moves for homes going on the market.
Common Ponte Vedra moves we handle
- Moves between Ponte Vedra and Palm Coast or St. Augustine
- Downsizing from a larger home into a villa or condo
- Move-ins to gated golf and Intracoastal communities
- Staging furniture deliveries and pickups for listings
Ponte Vedra neighborhoods we move
- Sawgrass & the TPC area: Gated golf communities with guard gates. Expect to send crew names and a certificate of insurance before move day.
- Marsh Landing: Gated community along the Intracoastal with HOA rules on move times and truck parking.
- Old Ponte Vedra & the A1A oceanfront: Established coastal homes, some with long driveways and landscaped entries we take care not to damage.
- Nocatee: A large master-planned community west of the Intracoastal with many separate neighborhoods, each with its own HOA rules.
Local moving tips for Ponte Vedra
- Gate paperwork: most Ponte Vedra communities want crew names, vehicle info and a COI ahead of time. Give us the gate or HOA contact and we’ll send it.
- PLAYERS week: THE PLAYERS Championship in March brings heavy traffic near TPC Sawgrass and A1A. If you can, avoid moving that week.
- Book ahead: Ponte Vedra is at the north end of our area, so a little lead time helps us plan a full day for you.
- Staging and listings: getting a home ready to sell? Our staging moves can bring furniture in and take it out after closing.
