Moving in Flagler Beach: what to know
Flagler Beach has stayed a small, low-rise beach town. Its height rules keep buildings at about 35 feet, so there are no high-rise towers here. Homes are mostly older cottages, raised homes on pilings, duplexes and small condo buildings. For movers, that means lots of exterior stairs and few elevators. We bring the right crew size, dollies and padding for stair carries.
Many of our Flagler Beach jobs are second homes, seasonal residents moving in or out, and furnishing vacation rentals, plus moves between the beach and Palm Coast.
Common Flagler Beach moves we handle
- Furnishing or emptying a second home or vacation rental
- Seasonal residents moving in for the winter or consolidating into a smaller beach place
- Moves between the beach and Palm Coast or Bunnell across the SR 100 bridge
- Stair carries into raised homes on pilings and small condo buildings without elevators
Flagler Beach neighborhoods we move
- Downtown & the pier (A1A / Oceanshore Blvd): Mixed shops and homes along A1A between about N. 9th and S. 9th Streets. Parking is tight, and weekends and events near the pier add traffic, so weekday mornings are easiest.
- The numbered beach streets: The grid of North and South numbered streets east and west of A1A. Streets are narrow and driveways are short. We may have to park the truck carefully and carry farther.
- West of the Intracoastal (SR 100 corridor): Neighborhoods across the bridge toward Palm Coast and Bunnell with bigger lots and easier truck access.
- Beverly Beach & Painters Hill (north on A1A): Oceanfront and riverfront homes north of town. Many are raised homes with long stair runs.
Local moving tips for Flagler Beach
- Stairs, not elevators: raised homes on pilings are common. Tell us how many flights there are and whether big pieces like sectionals have to go up exterior stairs.
- Salt air and sand: we pad-wrap furniture and keep floors protected. Sand tracked in on moving day scratches floors fast.
- A1A after storms: parts of A1A have been closed or detoured after hurricanes. If a storm is coming, we’ll talk with you about rescheduling.
- Vacation rentals: setting up a rental? Our delivery service can pick up furniture from stores or sellers and set it in place.

Flagler Beach moving FAQ
Can you move furniture up the outside stairs of a raised beach house?
Yes. Stair carries are routine for us in Flagler Beach. Tell us the number of flights and the largest items when you call so we bring enough people.
Do you help seasonal residents who split time between Flagler Beach and up north?
We handle the local side: moving in, moving out, consolidating into a smaller beach place, or loading a container or rental truck for your trip north. Call Tom to talk about longer moves.
Is it harder to move in Flagler Beach than Palm Coast?
It’s different. Lots are smaller, streets are narrower and most homes have stairs instead of elevators, so we plan the truck spot and crew size ahead of time. Weekday mornings are easiest.
What happens if a storm is headed for Flagler Beach on my move date?
We watch the forecast with you. If a tropical storm or hurricane threatens the coast, we’ll talk about moving the date for safety. See our hurricane-season moving tips for how to plan.
