Island Estates Movers at Hammock Dunes

Island Estates is a gated island neighborhood inside Hammock Dunes, between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Florida East Coast Canal. Large waterfront estate homes call for a careful, well-planned move, and that’s how we work.

Moving in Island Estates: what to know

Island Estates sits on an island in the Intracoastal, reached by a gated bridge across the canal. Homes face either the Intracoastal on the west side or the Florida East Coast Canal on the east side, and most Intracoastal lots have deep-water docks. Residents reach the ocean through a private Hammock Dunes walkover just to the east.

These are big homes on big lots. Homesites run from about one to two acres, the community’s minimum home size is 3,000 square feet, and existing homes run from about 3,700 square feet up. Most are Mediterranean-style one- and two-story homes. That means long carries, a lot of furniture and art, and often more than one truckload, so we plan the crew and trucks ahead of time.

How we plan a Island Estates move

  • Two layers of access. Island Estates is inside Hammock Dunes, so plan for gate approval to enter the community and to get onto the island. Authorize us for your move date and we’ll send crew and truck details.
  • Walk-through first. For a large home we’ll talk through every room, plus garages, docks and outbuildings, so the estimate and the crew size are right.
  • Certificate of insurance. We’re licensed and insured and can provide a COI on request for your HOA.
  • Protection. Floor runners, door-jamb pads, pad-wrapped furniture and careful handling of art, mirrors and stone tops. We keep trucks off lawns and protect paver driveways.
  • Bridge route. From the Palm Coast side the truck crosses the Hammock Dunes toll bridge. Moves from Flagler Beach or St. Augustine can come in on A1A.

Need a certificate of insurance? Many gated communities and condo associations ask movers for one. We’re licensed, insured and registered (Fla. Mover Reg. No. IM2982). Ask and we’ll send your HOA a COI before move day.
