Moving in The Hammock: what to know

Getting a moving truck onto the Hammock takes a little planning. From the Palm Coast side you cross the Hammock Dunes Bridge, the toll bridge where Palm Coast Parkway becomes Hammock Dunes Parkway. The toll is charged eastbound only. The other way on is A1A, from Flagler Beach to the south or Marineland to the north.

Hammock Dunes is a private, gated oceanfront golf community with about 1,182 properties: single-family homes, condominiums and villas, with about two and a half miles of oceanfront and more than five miles of Intracoastal frontage. It has five gated entrances, three with staffed gatehouses. Contractors and guests need the property owner’s approval and photo ID to get in.

Hammock Beach, off 16th Road and Hammock Dunes Parkway, is a gated beachfront and golf community that’s home to the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa. Oceanfront condo buildings here and up and down A1A mean elevators, loading areas and move-time windows are part of the plan.

How we plan a The Hammock move

  • Gate approval. In gated communities like Hammock Dunes, contractors need the owner’s approval to enter. Authorize us for your move date and we’ll send crew and truck details.
  • Condo elevators and loading. Many condo associations ask movers to reserve the service elevator, use elevator pads and stick to set move hours. Check with your association and send us the rules.
  • Certificate of insurance. Oceanfront condo buildings often ask movers for a COI. We’re licensed and insured and can provide one on request, made out to the association if they ask.
  • Route and bridge. We pick the toll bridge or A1A depending on where you’re moving from. Westbound across the bridge is toll-free.
  • Salt air and sand. We pad-wrap furniture and protect floors and entryways so sand and wet weather stay outside.

Need a certificate of insurance? Many gated communities and condo associations ask movers for one. We’re licensed, insured and registered (Fla. Mover Reg. No. IM2982). Ask and we’ll send your HOA a COI before move day.

The Hammock moving FAQ

Can you move an oceanfront condo on the Hammock?
